Jeffrey J. Goldberger
Jeffrey Goldberger, M.D., M.B.A., a recognized scholar and clinician, has been a practicing clinical cardiac electrophysiologist for over 25 years. After an illustrious career at Northwestern University, as of November 2015, he has assumed the position of Chief of Cardiology at the University of Miami. He is an innovator in the field and has been recognized as a Top Doctor by US News and World Report and Chicago Magazine. He has been a thought leader in the problems of sudden cardiac death, atrial fibrillation, and autonomic nervous system effects on cardiac electrophysiology, leading several multidisciplinary programs. He has authored over 200 publications. He has served on multiple national committees, recently being appointed to the American College of Cardiology Academic Cardiology Section Leadership Council. He has actively participated in both undergraduate and graduate medical education, and currently serves as both a clinical and research mentor to medical students and cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology trainees. He is involved in several community and national organizations in leadership roles. He and his wife, Sharon – a pediatrician – are the proud parents of 3 daughters and one son.
