Dr. Ronn Tanel. a pediatric electrophysiologist is director of the Pediatric Arrhythmia Center at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. In his research, he focuses on arrhythmias that occur following repair of congenital heart disease and understanding the natural history of arrhythmias in children. He also is interested in the long-term follow-up of children who have undergone catheter ablation therapy.
Dr. Tanel earned his medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship and training in pediatric electrophysiology at Children’s Hospital Boston. He is a member of Heart Rhythm Society, Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society and American Heart Association. Prior to joining UCSF, he was an electrophysiologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia from 1998 to 2008.
